1992 was a year of mixed fortunes for Welsh teams, with a win for Cwm Mawr,
but a last place for at home for Swansea.
All of the summer programmes and those from the 1993 series were
later repackaged for The Family Channel, a satellite and cable station, with
newly-recorded commentaries by It's A Knockout frontman, Stuart Hall. The revived
Jeux
Sans Frontières was now really back up to speed, with eight countries
taking part. San Marino dropped out of this year's competition, but there were
three new entrants - Czechoslovakia, Tunisia and Jeux Sans Frontières
veteran, Switzerland.
Also, harking back to the days of Interneige, a special winter series
was held. This proved sadly to be a one-off return, but it was in this series
that Czechoslovakia and Switzerland made their Nineties debuts. |
