The ITV Telethon was transmitted over the 1990 Whitsun Bank Holiday
weekend, with programmes broadcast on Saturday 26th, Sunday 27th and Monday
28th May 1990. The It's A Knockout special was recorded on Sunday afternoon by
regional ITV broadcaster TVS at Tower Park in Poole. The event was billed as a
'Knockout Competition Funday' and was hosted by comedian Bernie Clifton. It
was edited and broadcast the next day as part of the afternoon Telethon
programme. |
