|
The Spanish team of Sabadell was formed of
members of the Club Natació Sabadell, an aquatic sports club. Founded in 1916
and based at the Piscina Can Llong, it is now regarded as probably the most
important swimming club in Spain, and has sent many members to the Olympics.
However, it is probably best known for its women's water polo team, which has
been the most successful team in the national championship in recent years
with nine titles since 2000. In 2011 it won the European Cup, becoming the
first Spanish team to win this competition. The men's team won its third
national cup in 2012. The club members' sporting prowess also served them well
in Bellezze al Bagno, in which they recorded a series of victories. |

For
the first time, there was a tie in the first place at the end of a Bellezze al
Bagno competition, so Italian team Vieste was declared the winner for
recording the best time on the Underwater Kiss game, setting a record in this
season of 2 minutes 14 seconds.
In the first game, the Spanish team was disqualified because
one of the players invaded the opposite course. This resulted with Italy
finishing in 3rd place instead of 4th. If the Teruel team hadn’t made this
error, the Vieste team would not only have finished second in this heat, but
they would also have failed to qualify for the final! |
