Although
It's A Knockout ended as a regular series in 1982, there were several
one-off special programmes made in the later 1980s. These included The
Grand Knockout Tournament, featuring members of the British Royal Family.
Meanwhile, in Australia, the Antipodean version of It's A
Knockout enjoyed its last full series, pulled due to numerous complaints from
local residents concerning the noise levels caused by the recording at the
stadium in Dural, New South Wales. Coincidentally, the final BBC Knockout -
It's A Charity Knockout from Walt Disney World in 1988 would also be the
final one for Channel Ten Australia. |
