François Lombard can only be described as one of the legends of Jeux Sans Frontières.
As part of the Nancy team in 1974 he was a winner in Barga, Italy, and
recorded a Bronze Trophy finish at the International Final in Leiden,
Netherlands; a year later he was part of the Nancy team that won in dominant
fashion both in their home heat in Nancy and in the International Final in
Ieper, Belgium; and finally, he repeated this achievement with the Bar-le-Duc
team in 1979, winning the British International Heat at St. Albans and the
International Final on French soil at Bordeaux.
A
remarkable record. François participated in six JSF Internationals and came
out a winner in five of them!
