BBC1 Transmission (Yorkshire/Lincolnshire/North West only):
Monday 7th March 2005, 7.30-8.00pm

Notes:

The BBC Inside Out programme in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region featured a brief biography of Eddie Waring, highlighting his Rugby League commentating and how he found his way into It's A Knockout. The item included a few shots from IAK, with Eddie as referee. The broadcast revealed that Eddie got his chance at commentating in Harrogate after Barney Colehan had refused to pay for Katie Boyle to have her hair done, so she went home!

OUR SURVEY SAID: ULTIMATE GAME SHOW MOMENTS

Channel 4 Transmission: Saturday 4th June 2005, 10.15-11.45pm

Notes:

Produced by Touch Productions for Channel 4 Television, this light-hearted look back at television game shows past set out to discuss what made the perfect game show. About six minutes of clips from It's A Knockout and Jeux Sans Frontières were included in the programme under the subject of the 'embarrassment of competitors'. The commentary, delivered by Iain Lee, rather missed the mark in saying that the silly costumes in the series had been designed "to humiliate the competitors", which was never the case and seems a comment more appropriate in relation to television game shows today or to contemporary shows like The Generation Game. Almost all the clips utilised highlighted the foam rubber costumes and overseas locations - and hailed from the now-deleted BBC Video, Here Come the Belgians: The Very Best of It's A Knockout.
