Popular and long-running early evening magazine programme with an eclectic mix
of news, current affairs, entertainment, sports and regional reports. This
edition featured a 9 minute 40 second insert featuring Frank Bough compering a
Nationwide It's A Knockout event. The competition is between teams
captained by Stuart Hall and Tom Coyne. Thirteen girls are judging the teams,
but, unbeknownst to them, it is they who are being judged, as potential new
score girls for the real programme.
Team Members: Stuart Hall (Captain), Tom Coyne (Captain), Mike Neville,
Bill Hamilton, Larry McCounrey, Elfyn Thomas.
Score Girls: Jan Adair, Jocelyn Creffield, Susan Swingwood, Alison Brown,
Karen Apted, Ann Rutherford, Hazel Wilson, Penny Hilditch, Leonie Collins,
Hilary Montfort, Cherry Parrish, Pauline Davies and Lynne Crago.
Judges: Gennaro Olivieri (JSF referee), Barney Colehan (IAK
producer), David Driver (from Radio Times magazine) and Sue Lawley (Nationwide
presenter).
The
competition featured an obstacle race with competitors wearing flippers. |
