Notes:

Legendary children's magazine programme (1958-present) presented by John Noakes, Peter Purves and Valerie Singleton. This edition included a live in-studio section where presenters Peter Purves and John Noakes captained two teams in a precarious It's A Knockout game. The purpose was to publicise the 1971 It's A Knockout series, which would commence transmission on Wednesday 21st April 1971. The teams involved were the Sunbury Round Table (in blue) and the Shepperton Round Table (in black), both of whom were to compete on Saturday 12th June 1971 in a non-televised charity It's A Knockout event. It's A Knockout presenter Eddie Waring joined in the fun as commentator.

BLUE PETER - Programme 883: BLACKPOOL RECEIVE JSF TROPHY

Notes:

This edition of Blue Peter included a live in-studio section where members of the Blackpool team received the JSF trophy from It's A Knockout presenter, David Vine. Blackpool had won the International Final shortly before. The programme also included a VT clip of the 1971 International Final, quite possibly the only surviving footage held by the BBC from this competition.

BLUE PETER - Programme 888: BALLOON JUMPING

Notes:

Valerie Singleton introduces footage from It's A Knockout. She then welcomes John Read into the studio, where he and the Blue Peter team recreate the game seen in the clip. The presenters and Read then take turns to play the game, which involves jumping from a trampoline over some large balloons.
